Muslims must give 2.5% of their yearly savings to help the poor, the oppressed and the needy. This act of devotion acknowledges that all wealth comes from ALLAH Almighty and purifies the soul from all the worldly material greed. In adding up, Islam encourages voluntary acts of charity, be they physical or monetary. A well-known tradition states, ‘Smiling is charity.’

Muslims supplicate to and address ALLAH Almighty directly for their needs and desires anywhere and anytime. This direct relationship is a necessary element of worship (Ibadah) in Islam. Whether asking for direction, seeking solace or beseeching ALLAH Almighty for forgiveness, Muslims reach out to ALLAH Almighty at any time, without an intermediary. Nothing is a mere formality in responsibility Islam. Even the usual wishing ‘Assalamu Alaikum’ has a message and significance.

Fasting is not an only formality that every Muslim has to observe but we should examine it with heart and soul so that ALLAH Almighty gives the essential changes in our hearts thoughts, lives. It would be better if the honorable Islamic Ulema request all mosques to inform proper education on daily prayers so that Muslims pray correctly and their prayers do not go a waste. They also need to explain the finest ways of independent learning of Namaz so that Muslims correct themselves. .

 Ramadan
Muslims fast during the Holy Month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, by abstaining from eating, drinking etc acts from dawn to sunset. Fasting installs self-restraint, provides strengthens and spiritual cleansing and one’s willpower. While fasting, Muslims strive to boost charitable acts and control bad habits such foul and abusive language, gossip and anger.

The Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah should be performed by every Muslim once in their life if they are financially and physically able. It symbolizes the unity of humanity as Muslims from every race; nationality and social status bring together in equality to worship ALLAH Almighty, following the traditions of Hazrat Ibraheem (AS). The two Eid festivals mark significant sacred days for Muslims.

Eid-ul-Fitar is celebrated at the completion of Holy Ramadan while Eid-ul-Azha falls during the days of Hajj. Both occasions start with a congregational prayer (Namaz) and a sermon; these are followed by celebratory meals, gift-giving and socializing. Every Muslim has a right to know and practice genuine Islamic worship. When mosques take the duty of imparting Islamic worship (Ibadah), including prayers in detail, Muslims would learn the prayers correctly and confidently.

When Muslims make Masjids the center of their life activities the class of their life would change significantly for the better and much better. As more and proper Muslims come to mosques the fake ones who make use of them for personal benefits alone would remove themselves from Masjid.
