Sincerity

Sincerity has a great importance in religion Islam; Sincerity is very important and significant element of repentance and also for the salvation in Islam. Muslims are encouraged highly to practice honesty and sincerity in their lives, sincerity is needed to make honest connection with ALLAH Almighty and as well as making relationships with others. Sincerity is one of the most important ways which is used to judge the purity of the heart of person. The Arabic term which is used for sincerity is “ikhlas.”

ALLAH Almighty judges the actions of humans in different situations to determine whether they are sincere. It’s a belief of every Muslim that by performing good and virtuous deeds helps cancelling their past committed sins. But mere good and virtuous deeds are not enough to wash away sins but in order to move toward salvation, these kind and good actions must be accompanied by doing different acts of worships and performing the obligation with the sincere desire to repent.

Sincerity stands for purifying one’s deeds from ostentation and blemishes in order to make them intended purely. Sincere people especially sincere and honest Muslim strives throughout his or her life to purify his soul from all the evil thoughts and activities and involve himself just performing good and positive deeds and maintaining sincerity of his intention so that his acts and deeds becomes fruitful for him.

Sincerity meaning is to purify one’s deeds and personality from all kind of contamination by evil thoughts, activities and shirksand sincerity is also very important in order to worship ALLAH Almighty in the correct way.  Wax and wane of sincerity in our personality depends upon our everyday life deeds and activities which causes our levels of sincerity to rise and fall.  There are so many ways to obtain maintain and increase sincerity. We can do righteous and virtuous deeds to reach the level of sincerity, the more good deeds we do, the easier we get sincerity and our hearts will become more pure and sincere. Seeking knowledge will also help in bringing sincerity to our lives.  If we clearly understand what act we are doing and why, we then will be able to perform all actions according to the teaching of shariah. Doing by understanding will make our hearts more sincere, softer and pure. So in every stage and phase of life sincerity is essentially needed and all Muslims should strive to attain the high level of sincerity.
